Soil Testing
One of the main soil properties measured during a soil test is the pH level. Most turfgrasses, flowers, and ornamental shrubs grow best in soil with a pH level between 6.1 and 6.9 (slightly acidic). Soils with a pH level below this range will benefit from the addition of lime. If the pH level is above this range, aluminum sulfate may need to be added. Additional soil properties available for testing include texture and available nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium levels. For healthy plants and a beautiful lawn, proper care and monitoring must literally start from the ground-up. With frequent soil testing, we can provide your lawn and landscape with the ideal amount of soil nutrients needed for proper growth. If you have any questions or concerns regarding soil testing on your property, please don't hesitate to give us a call.
